Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

HuntClub is operated by AJC Apps, LLC. By creating an account or using HuntClub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA) to use HuntClub. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. See our Privacy Policy for information on data collection and use.

2. Account Registration & Security

• Accurate information — You must provide accurate, complete information and keep it up to date.
• Credential security — You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Unauthorized access — Notify us immediately at legal@thehuntclubapp.com if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.
• One account per person — One active check-in per person is system-enforced.

3. The Service

HuntClub provides:

• Club management with membership roles (Owner, Admin, Member, Guest)
• Stand management with photos, notes, and real-time occupancy
• Check-in / check-out with location sharing
• Harvest logging with species, GPS, photos, and measurements
• Club chat with photos, location sharing, polls, and reactions
• Maps with property boundaries, trails, wind overlays, and harvest dots
• Events with RSVP, comments, and calendar sync
• Reservations for stands and markers

The service is provided “as-is” and “as-available.” We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice. Third-party services (Mapbox, Supabase, Open-Meteo) are subject to their own terms.

4. Fees

HuntClub is currently free to use. There are no paid subscriptions or in-app purchases at this time. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will update these Terms with at least 30 days notice; any payments would be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and governed by their respective refund policies.

5. User Content & License

• You own your content — Full ownership of messages, photos, harvest logs, and notes.
• License to HuntClub — Limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit your content to operate the service.
• License termination — Ends when you delete the content or your account (residual backups may persist briefly).
• No ownership claim — HuntClub does not claim ownership of your content.

6. Acceptable Use

HuntClub has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any chat message and block any user directly in the app (long-press a message). Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and we will remove violating content and suspend or terminate the accounts responsible. You can also reach us directly at legal@thehuntclubapp.com.

Prohibited Conduct

• Violating any applicable law or regulation
• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users
• Impersonating another person or entity
• Uploading malware or malicious code
• Attempting unauthorized access to the service or other accounts
• Scraping or using automated tools to extract data
• Unauthorized commercial use, spam, or unsolicited advertising

Hunting-Specific Conduct

• Comply with all applicable hunting laws, licenses, permits, seasons, and bag limits
• Do not upload content depicting illegal harvest activities, poaching, or wildlife regulation violations

HuntClub may suspend or terminate accounts and remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

7. Club Roles & Responsibilities

• Club owners and admins are responsible for managing settings, membership, and content moderation within their club.
• HuntClub is not liable for club-level decisions (removing members, requiring location sharing, etc.).
• Disputes between club members are to be resolved between the members themselves.

8. Location & Coordination Disclaimer

• Check-in and location-sharing features are tools to assist with coordination — not guarantees of accuracy, and not a guarantee of anyone’s wellbeing.
• HuntClub is not a substitute for proper hunting practices and equipment.
• HuntClub is not responsible for GPS inaccuracies, connectivity failures, or device limitations.
• Do not rely solely on HuntClub for critical decisions in the field.
• HuntClub is not liable for any injury, accident, death, or property damage arising from use of the service.

HuntClub is NOT a substitute for:

• Emergency services (call 911)
• Hunter education courses and certifications
• Direct communication with fellow hunters
• Personal protective equipment and protocols

9. Intellectual Property

The HuntClub name, logo, source code, UI, and documentation are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works without written permission. Feedback you provide may be used without obligation or compensation.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HUNTCLUB'S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100. HUNTCLUB WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HuntClub from claims arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, your use of the service, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

12. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. Before formal proceedings, contact legal@thehuntclubapp.com with a written description; we will attempt informal resolution for 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER: All disputes must be brought individually. You waive any right to participate in a class action.

You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@thehuntclubapp.com within 30 days of creating your account.

13. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• HuntClub may suspend or terminate accounts for violations or extended inactivity
• Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store subscription — only Apple can cancel it, in your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Surviving provisions: User Content License, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days notice via in-app notification or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
